Overlay Mosaic Crochet Patterns inspired by nature, whimsy, and a touch of magic.

Hello, fellow maker

Welcome to my little corner of the crochet world.

I’m Cyndie, the designer behind BirdsongCrochet. I create crochet patterns inspired by the natural world, cozy spaces, playful details, and those tiny moments that make everyday life feel a little more magical.

Behind the stitches

Meet Cyndie

A little about the maker, the journey, and why crochet has become such a joyful part of my life.

My crochet journey

Made between work, life, and a whole lot of yarn.

BirdsongCrochet grew from a love of making things by hand and the simple happiness that comes from seeing an idea slowly become something tangible.

I run Cyndie Birdsong Designs as a side hustle alongside my full-time day job, so designing happens in the spaces between everyday life — evenings, weekends, and those wonderfully quiet moments when I can sit down with a hook.

What started as a creative outlet has grown into a library of more than 200 downloadable crochet patterns.

The design philosophy

Nature, whimsy & a touch of magic.

I love patterns that feel interesting to make and beautiful to live with.

Nature

Leaves, flowers, birds, stars, forests and organic shapes often find their way into my designs.

Whimsy

A pattern should make you smile. I love unexpected details, playful motifs and designs with personality.

Magic

Overlay mosaic crochet can look complicated, but clever stitch placement creates that wonderful “how did that happen?” feeling.
